CIA Top Rope Wall Climber
Course Code: RC-TRWC
Duration: 8 Hours
In this course, participants will learn to practice basic knowledge in climbing technique and enhance their mastery of using climbing equipment for top rope climbing on a artificial climbing structure. All this combined will allow the climber to begin their first step into being able to climb with proper safety procedures consistently.

CIA Lead Wall Climber

Duration: 16 Hours
In this course, participants will learn to practice advanced climbing technique and enhance their mastery of using climbing equipment for leadclimbing on a artificial climbing structure. Lead climbing allows climbers to feel the freedom of climbing with their own bodyweight. Lead climbing is often known as the safest way to experience the feeling of pure climbing.

CIA Top Rope Rock Climber

Duration: 8 Hours
This course is similar to the CIA Top Rope Wall Climber Course, the difference being that this course is conducted in a outdoor environment on natural rock. Climbing on natural rock has its different qualities compared to climbing artificial walls. The uncontrolled nature of the outdoors gives a different kind of challenge to the climber. There are more varieties of safety equipment and knowledge needed. Besides that, reading the routes on artificial rock poses a different challenge compared to doing it indoors. The beginning steps to being able to climber outdoors in a proper manner will allow participants to be able to have the freedom to climb outdoors in a safe and fun manner. The CIA Top Rope Wall Climber (RC-TRWC) certification is a pre-requisite requirement to be able to take this course.

CIA Lead Rock Climber

This course is similar to the CIA Lead Wall Climber Course, the difference being that this course is conducted in a outdoor environment on natural rock. Climbing on natural rock has its different qualities compared to climbing artificial walls. The uncontrolled nature of the outdoors gives a different kind of challenge to the climber. There are more varieties of safety equipment and knowledge needed. Besides that, reading the routes on artificial rock poses a different challenge compared to doing it indoors. In the Lead Rock Climber Course, participants will be able to master lead climbing in terms of mastering the management and usage of the substantial amount of gears that need to be used. Once mastered, lead climbing will allow participants to experience the feedom of pure climbing in a natural setting. The CIA Lead Wall Climber (RC-LWC) certification is a pre-requisite requirement to be able to take this course.

CIA Multi-Pitch Climber

Ever wanted to go higher? But the length of the rope does not allow you to. Multi-pitching is basically what its name says it is. It is a method of rope and gear management which allows climbers to climb as high as the crag they are climbing at allows them to. With the skills and knowledge of multi-pitching, participants will experience and master the ultimate fun in climbing outdoors. Participants will learn top belay skills, rope management and abseiling/rappelling techniques. Multi-Pitch climbing is not for beginners and therefore, potential participants must already have mastered the syllabus in the CIA Lead Rock Climbing certification (RC-LRC) before being able to take this course.

CIA Traditional Climber

Duration: 32 Hours
Often known as Trad-Climbing, this skill allows advanced climbers to climb at places where there are no bolted on protection ready in place. Trad climbing equipments are designed to allow climbers to be adventurous and climb at untouched crags. This course is mostly equipment mastery based. As most trad-climbing is mostly done at new climbing sites, this course will also teach the participants to test the strength of the rock they are climbing on before slotting protection gears in them. Trad climbing is an advanced skill and therefore, mastery of sport climbing is needed before attempting this course.

CIA Multi-Pitch Climber

Duration: 24 Hours
A CIA Rescue Climber certification is the pinnacle of the CIA Recreational Climbing Certifications. Participants will learn the skill of self-belay and self rescue. These skills combined will allow participants to be able to move around a rock face by themselves without a belayer. These skills are mostly used in an emergency situation where a climber is trapped by himself on the rock face. In addition to that, rescue climbers will be able to learn basic skills in rescueing other climbers in the event of an emergency. Participants will learn to manage an injured climber and also learn to lower the injured party to safety. Potential participants must have mastered all the above Recreational Climbing Certifications before being able to take this course.
